Quick Access Toolbar in Office 2007

January 3rd, 2008 | by Loren |

Add the commands you use frequently to this toolbar. Since the Ribbon can’t be customized, this is the only place to gather your frequently used commands. The techniques to do this are the same in all the MS Office programs that have it.

  • Some of the basic commands can be added through the little arrow on the right of the Quick Access Toolbar.
  • To add most any other command, right-click on the command, choose Add to Quick Access Toolbar.
  • To remove a command from the toolbar, right-click on the command and choose Remove from Quick Access Toolbar.
  • To add or remove commands by browsing all available, right-click on a command or the Quick Access Toolbar and choose Customize Quick Access Toolbar.
    • Also can find this through the MS Office Button | Word Options | Customize or the down-arrow to the right of the Quick Access Toolbar.
    • Any commands in the MS Office Button can be added the same way, such as Print, Save As or Close.

Can the Quick Access Toolbar be customized so that there are more than one of them? (like in Word 2003)

My customized quick access toolbar disappears periodically and I have to set it up again (which is very time-consuming as I have it arranged with all of my daily icons) … does anyone know why?
