Word 2007: Keyboard Shortcuts for Cut, Copy, and Paste

June 13th, 2008 | by Loren |

The easy way to remember which keys are for Cut, Copy and Paste is in their location on the keyboard: X C and V are all next to each other. Add Ctrl and you know all you need to. Add to those that Ctrl + Z is Undo, and you have found the usefulness of that corner of your keyboard.

Cut = Ctrl + X

Copy = Ctrl + C

Paste = Ctrl + V

Copy Formatting Only = Ctrl + Shift + C
Works with text and paragraph formatting.

Paste Formatting Only = Ctrl + Shift + V

Paste Special (opens Paste Special box) = Alt + Ctrl + V

Move, works one time = F2
Select text or graphic to move, push F2, use arrow keys to move the cursor, Enter to paste.

Copy, works one time = Shift + F2
Select text or graphic to move, push Shift + F2, use arrow keys to move the cursor, Enter to paste.
