New Commands in Word 2007
February 1st, 2008 | by Loren |Most everything on the Ribbon isn’t new to Word 2007, but was redesigned to be more accessible. Here are a few useful commands that are on the Home tab, but could still be easily missed:
In the Clipboard group:
- Paste special – very useful when pasting from web pages or email; allows text to be pasted without carrying any formatting from where it came from.
Font group:
- Clear formatting
- Change case – change case from all capitals to Sentence (first letter of first word capital), Title (first letter in each word capital) or lowercase.
Paragraph group:
- Add space before and after paragraph – gives greater control of paragraph spacing without using Enter to add space.
Editing group:
- Select Objects – for hard to select clipart, or actually most anything that’s not text
- Select Text with Similar Formatting – could be used to change formatted text without using styles
